Somali’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) forces on Tuesday evening conducted a security operation at a hotel located in Bakara market and seized a vehicle laden with explosives and other weaponry.
According to the spy agency officers, who following intelligence (HUMINT) from residents managed to seize the vehicle and recover the explosives said the materials found would have caused a major blast.
The materials were meant to conduct a terror attack targeting the hotel or the busy market.
The militant group Al-Shabaab has resulted in suicide vehicle bound kind of attacks with their latest targeting AMISOM’s Halane base in Mogadishu neutralized.
