Saturday 25th June 2016, a popular hotel in Somali’s capital Mogadishu is stormed by Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab.
The militant using a suicide car bomb (SVBIED) rammed the gates of Naso-Hablod hotel killing the hotel guard.
Armed fighters then stormed the hotel and started firing at the revelers indiscriminately.
The hotel is popular with government officials.
A Somali lawmaker ,Buri Mohamed Hamza, is confirmed to have been a victim of the violent terrorist attack on Nasa Hablod hotel by Al-Shabaab on Saturday Evening.
Armed standoff between SNA and Al-Shabaab reported.
According to report by SNA official and police boss Mohamed Hussein, the Somali security forces managed to end the siege killing all the remaining militants holed up on the hotel’s top floor.
Al-Shabaab militants are known to step up attacks during the month of Ramadan.
