June 17, 2016 Afghan army has killed dozens of Taliban Takfiris in military operations carried out at different parts on Afghanistan, the Afghan Defense Ministry said Friday.
Afghan Defense Ministry in a statement said that Afghan security forces had killed a total of 51 Taliban fighters and one Al Qaeda terrorist.
The military offensives were conducted in Afghanistan’s Paktika, Paktia, Ghor, Ghazni, Faryab, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Herat, Baghlan, Jowzjan, Kunduz, Balkh, Farah and Helmand provinces.
During the raids, another 44 Taliban militants were injured, the ministry added, while three others had been captured.
Afghan army also lost 13 soldiers although Taliban spokesmen put the number at more than 20.
