Latest OSINT reports from Somalia indicate that Former deputy district commissioner of Dharkeyley, Abdullahi Ibrahim Isbiimo has killed in a drive-by shooting carried out by unknown assailants in two motorbikes.
The Wednesday shooting also saw another civilian travelling in the same car with Isbiimo badly injured.
Corresponding reports from residents say that both men were in a car when they were sprayed with bullets by unknown assailants who reportedly had been trailing them.
Security forces arrive at the crime scene and launched manhunt operation of the perpetrators but not arrest reports have been made so far.
No one or group has claimed responsibility of the heinous crime but Al Qaeda affiliated Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen (HSM) fighters are known to target high value government officials.
