Turkish fighter jets on Monday 23rd May 2016 reportedly conducted air operation in northern Iraq destroying weapon caches, shelters and training camps.
According to security sources, Turkish Air Forces conducted air raids targeting shelter, camps and weapons in a region called Metina at 04:30 – 05:30 a.m.
After eliminating their targets, the jets went safely back to their military bases.
PKK, a listed terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU reportedly resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
PKK militancy has left more than 460 members of the security forces, including troops, police officers and village guards martyred.
Over 4,500 PKK terrorists have been killed in military operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
