Cyber Missiles sound like stuff from mass, but they are real and available. Stuxnet is one of the latest smart ordnance for the web battleground.
Stuxnet was used by web-spies from US, Israel and Britain to destroy the Iranian nuclear project.
The cyber missiles were backed by assassinations of the top nuclear scientists in Iranian, further crippling the project.
The Stuxnet Cyber missile is a computer worm that is very advanced, undetectable, and so debilitating.
The worm jumps from one computer to another until it finds the specific protected control system the Stuxnet is aimed to destroy.
This worm was able to hit the Iran nuclear enrichment program crashing its central protected control system.
A Belarus Company developed Belarus Stuxnet worm in June. The company was doing business in Iran.
Intelligence agencies including security agencies like Homeland Security admitted that the Stuxnet Cyber Missile is so advanced that it resembles an F-35 in a battlefield.
The worm acted like a cruise missile, going past a series of networks to find the Iranian nuclear plant central processing unit.
This target is impenetrable, for it lay inside layers of several underground stories.
The worm also new complex control system that ran Siemens built the centrifuges, the German manufacturer hence was sure of how to mask its activities.
The Stuxnet ordered the centrifuges to rotate fast then slowly subsequently corrupting the uranium in the tubes.
On the other hand, it did not leave a trace of the damage on the computers since there was no malfunction in the Windows 7 operating system crippling the nuclear reactor and its control system.
It also created panic and confusion among the Iranian nuclear scientists and mission accomplished.
