EVENT SUMMARY
March 2, 2016, Reports from Tunisia’s Interior Ministry, the National Guard in joint operation with Army units killed four suspected terrorists during a preemptive security operation on Monday.
According to Interior Ministry spokesperson, Yasser messbah, the anti-terrorist National Guard Units gunned down four suspected terrorists on Monday in the Ain Jaffel region, close to the Sidi Bouzid Mountains.
Messbah also state that Tunisia security agents successfully seized considerable amount of ammunition, hand-made explosives, a Kalashnikov rifle and telecommunication devices.
However, the Interior Ministry in its official communique did not reveal the identities or the nationalities of the slain suspects.
Tunisia has also faced terrorism menace with the government resolving to construct a moat-border wall to help in curbing terrorists’ invasion.
