Njenga Karume is dead.
President sent a message of condolence describing Karume as a good friend, an ambitious businessman, and a good politician who put the interests of Kenyans as priority.
Former minister and MP for Kiambaa Njenga Karume died on Friday February 24th of 2012.
Rumors had swept media houses mid February confirming that the old man and close confidant of President Kibaki had died but Karume was caught on camera talking to well wishers in his house.
Karume’s death was caused by prostrate cancer which had spread and had become impossible to manage.
A former businessman and defense minister, Karume was well known across the country for his wealth and loyalty to the president.
He had a diploma in business management from Jeans School (KIA).
