Monday 7th December 2015, California mall robbery incident caused panic and confusion after dozens of police and their cars locked down in front of the Galleria at Tyler Mall in Riverside.
Panicked shoppers confused sound of breaking glass with gunfire.
Three robbers wearing skiing masks armed with hammers smashed counters of a jewelry store in a Riverside mall in California.
The mall is only 15 miles from the San Bernardino where there was a terror attack that left 14 people killed and over 20 others wounded.
Immediately police locked down on the mall with dozens of police cruisers, helicopter was also hovering above the mall.
Reports reveal over 30 police vehicles responded, including several from Rialto and San Bernardino. The helicopter, flying very low in the neighborhood, reportedly urged residents over its loudspeaker to stay indoors.
Police manhunt has since been launched as the three suspects are still at large after robbing the jewelry store Sunday night.
