At least 10 Al Shabaab militants were killed by Somali National Army force on Wednesday 2nd December night following a raid that led to the destruction of two militants’ training camps in Diinsoor, Bay region.
SNA troops attacked a key al Shabaab base in Diinsoor, Bay region approximately 30km from the town from which they launched their attacks on security forces and innocent civilians from.
Diinsoor DC Mohamed Nur Shikshikow confirmed the killing of at least 10 al Shabaab fighters and the destruction of two training facilities used by the jihadis.
Assortment of weapons were seized in the operation including had grenades, ammunition and AK-47 riffles. Before its recapture by the SNA and allied troops it had been under the militants for 7 years.
