The government of Kenya through the office of the Inspector General of the National Police Service of Kenya issued a statement warning of imminent terror attacks against civillians and hard targets in the country during the short rains season.
Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement, Al-Qaeda’s branch in Somalia is likely to conduct attacks in Kenya.
In a Mid-October in a classified intelligence report, Strategic Intelligence Service warned that Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement, Al-Qaeda’s branch in Somalia is likely to attack military and police bases/camps in NEP Region and even the capital Nairobi.
In the report, SIS further warns of the “Unlikely target” a police or military barracks in a geographically challenging area of the country.
The terrorists have in the recent past identified targets in areas where its challenging to provide emergency medical aide and reinforcements thus making attacks achieve primary goals. This is likely in Kenya and it can happen at a unlikely target. Their success with suicide vehicle bound improvised explosive devices (SVBIED) and assault on the base with rapid gunfire using assault rifles against AMISOM bases in Somalia is their choice strategy.
A possible terror attack is motivated by both social-political situation in Kenya and the urgency to prove that the terror group is highly capable of striking percieved enemies.
However other countries including Uganda, Burundi, and Ethiopia, besides Djibouti are also likely to be targets of the terror group.

As long as Zionists are actively training, arming n equipping Alshabaab, we remain the potential target. Russia is busy dismantling them while USA n Israel are against it in Syria calling them moderate terrorists
