August 7, 2015 – the Ethiopian war planes launched airstrikes and Al Shabaab position in Galgaduud Region in Somalia.
Summary:
Somali based Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen have suffered great damage after Ethiopian planes bombarded their positions in the Galgaduud area barely days after a major AMISOM offensive.
According to Elbuur district commissioner, Nur Hassan Guutale, the Al Shabaab’s bases were hit hard and the militants suffered great damages and losses.
This operation is in line with recent air strikes on the militants by the Ethiopian air planes to back up then ground troops in the BAY, Bakool and the Galgaduud regions that have been under the Al Shabaab.
