
Kenyan authorities are working on a list of Al Shabaab suspects to bring to book elements of members of the terrorist group in the country.
According to intelligence reports, this list includes university and college students suspected to be on Al Shabaab payroll.
In a recent incident, police in Marsabit County have arrested a man from Nyeri County who was attempting to cross over to Somalia through Ethiopia. The suspect identified as Alex Kimaru alias Warunguru has been on the run from police for a week.
Police have also intensified a manhunt for his five accomplices from Tetu cons
tituency. The suspect is being interrogated at Moyale police station to assist police with tracing his accomplices.
The Kenya Anti- Terror Police Unit (ATPU) has embarked on a mission to mop up the country from elements of Al Shabaab militants who, according to intelligence reports, continue to operate an active cell in Kenya.
Kenyan security personnel have urged operators of hotels, lodgings and public service transport vehicles to be vigilant and ensure that details of all customers are known to the management.
