Five militants have been killed in infighting between two groups of militants operating in the Nangarhar province in Afghanistan. The fighting occurred in Nazian district, and it left two injured. ISIS and the Taliban have heard similar altercation in the past, and their presence in the province has caused numerous attacks.
Nangarhar has been among the relatively calm provinces in East of Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban regime, but the anti-government armed militant groups have been attempting to expand their insurgency activities in some of the remote parts of the province during the recent years.
Afghan forces have launched an operation in the province to prevent the terror groups from creating a network.
