At least three suicide bombers trying to stage an attack on China Consulate in Karachi were killed before they were able to enter the facility.
According to the Police Chief of city of Karachi, the suicide attackers stormed into the China embassy and forcibly were trying to get into the visa section when they were neutralized.
The Baloch Liberation Army, a separatist group, claimed responsibility for the attack in a tweet including a photo of three unidentified men and the message: “Karachi: Fidayeen of BLA attacked the Chinese embassy in Karachi.”
“Fidayeen” is an Arabic term that loosely translates as “one who sacrifices himself.”

China is Pakistan’s closest ally and its main benefactor, plowing in billions of dollars in infrastructure projects, as part of its vast Belt a Road initiative.
