Kenyan and Ethiopian security forces busted a terrorist cell that coordinates communication and logistics near the Kenya-Ethiopian border, intelligence reports show.
3 Members of the terrorist group Al-Shabaab were arrested on Thursday when Kenya and Ethiopia launched a joint operation near the Kenya-Ethiopia border
The terrorists had established a cell in a residential area. This was meant to camouflage and avoid detection.
The operation saw the security officers recover more than 100,000 SIM cards from three different countries and sophisticated telecommunications equipment owned by the al-Shabaab terror cells
Intelligence confirms that all three terrorists had been to Somalia recently for military training.
