29 Chinese workers are being held by rebels in Sudan’s oil producing South Kordofan state, Strategic Intelligence has confirmed.
Rebels fighting with Sudan’s army said they took the 29-Chinese workers for their own safety after fierce battles with the Sudan’s armed forces.
The rebels in Sudan’s oil-producing border state of South Kordofan confirmed to SIN on Sunday that they have in their custody 29 Chinese workers.
However the rebels insist that they are holding the 29 Chinese workers for their own safety after the war with the Sudan armed forces.
The Sudanese army since June started an oil war with rebels of the SPLM-N in South Kordofan.
