At least 28 terror militants were killed and 30 others wounded in multiple extensive military crackdowns within past 24 hours in different areas of Afghanistan.
According to a press release issued by Ministry of Defense, (MoD), Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted joint military operations against the terror militants in different areas of Nangarhar, Ghazni, Urzgan, Herat, Badghis, Farah, Faryab, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar and Helmand provinces.
Statement confirmed that in these operations 28 Taliban linked militants were killed and 30 others wounded.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and pounded on the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by heavy artilleries and air forces.
In past 24 hours, 10 warplanes were used in air sorties, and 96 Special Forces operations conducted in different provinces; also, Air forces conducted 91airstrikes supporting Afghan National army including seven strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANA also discovered and seized assortment of weapons and ammunition in the operations.
