Two Wakali Kwanza gang members were over the weekend killed by police in Kasauni area of Mombasa. Another seven gang members managed to escape the police raid.
The gang which comprises of youth is aid to have been armed with machetes and other crude weapons when police engaged them.
According to Kisauni police boss, Christopher Rotich, the two were gunned felled, after they attempted to attack police who had been deployed following public outcry of attacks by the gang members.
He said police recovered two machetes and a knife from the suspects.
