The militants of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham walked into the Syrian Army troops' tactically-set up ambush on Tuesday 28/3/ 2017 after seizing al-Sakhir village in Northern Hama.
According to a Syrian military source, the army men killed over 10 terrorists from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Jeish Al-Izzah, and Faylaq Al-Sham, including two commanders that were present during the ambush.
As a result of this ambush, the army recovered all regions they had lost at Al-Sakhir and Al-Qaramita, forcing the terror operatives to retreat in disarray in order to avoid more casualties.
Military sources said on Tuesday that a notorious field commander of the Idlib Free Army was killed in the Syrian Army troops' advances against the terrorist groups in Northwestern Hama.
The sources said that Mohammad Kamal al-Qasim nom de guerre Abu Rabi'a, a senior commander of the Idlib Free Army, was killed in battle with the army soldiers in Northwestern Hama.
The sources added that the army men that freed the settlement of Ma'arzaf earlier today managed to drive terrorists out of Soubin village in Northwestern Hama.
They went on to say that Abu Rabi'a was the second commander of Sawt al-Haq battalion of the Idlib Free Army that was killed in clashes with the army men.
