At least two Egyptian and one Algerian nationals were on Thursday evening arrested in Italy on suspicion of machination to commit terrorist acts.
According to a statement by Italian Interior Minister Angelo Alfano, the suspects’ posts jihadist contents on pro-jihadists websites and recruits North African fighters in Syria and Libya on behalf of Islamic State (Daesh) terrorist group.
Italian authorities in coordination with prosecutor of Genoa are hunting down the fourth suspect believed to be their accomplice.
The suspected group was heavily engaged in the propaganda operation using pseudonyms and fictitious accounts online.
