Two top Boko Haram commanders have been killed and several villages liberate from the militants by the Nigerian army as confirmed in an official communique from released by the troops’ spokesman.
The two commanders have been identified as Abu Rajal and Tuja Sa’inna Banki who were killed in a joint clearance operation by the troops of 25 Task Force Brigade, Chibok and 28 Task Force Brigade, Damboa in Gumsuri to Gambori in Borno State.
The killed commanders were believed to have been heading the terrorist units that have been terrorizing residents in the rural parts, burning villages, killing farmers and kidnapping people. In the recent weeks, the Boko Haram has conducted a series of attacks targeting both security forces and civilians prompting an intensified series of clearance operations that have left dozens of terrorists dead including several high-ranking members.
