Afghan Special Forces conducted airstrikes in four Afghan provinces killing at least 19 militants within the past 24 hours.
Seven of the militants were killed in Ajristan district of Ghazni province, six in Chaparhar of Nangarhar province, two in Sayyed Karam of Paktia and four others in Darzab of Jawzjan province.
Security forces, that include Afghan security forces and NATO-led coalition troops, have increased their ground and air operations against militants in the past months.
Taliban and Islamic State group are yet to make a statement regarding the offensives against them.
