17 Civilians Dead, Scores Injured In A Terrorist Bomb Blast In Residential Al-Zahra Area In Syria

breaking-news126th January 2016: At least 17 people have been killed and scores injured in a terrorists’ twin bomb blast in Homs, a residential area in Syria.

According to police reports, 2 explosions were heard at a few minutes’ intervals in the residential area of Al-Zahra. One explosion was in an explosives-rigged car parked in a densely populated area followed by a suicide bomber a few meters away.

Most of the victims are innocent civilians in the explosions targeted at a Syrian Security officers’ checkpoint. Significant damage on residential houses and infrastructure in the area has been witnessed.

This is the second terrorist attack in the Al-Zahra area in a two-month span as in December 2015 a similar attack happened killing 19 civilians and over 40 people injured.
