Tanzania has arrested 16 members of the terror group Al-Shabaab after intelligence and criminal investigations officers traced them after thorough surveillance.
Police sources in Tanzania indicate that some of the arrested suspects are respected business people who have been linked to terror cells in Tanzania.
Another 25 suspects have been traced and are being hunted down by police.
Tanzania has been facing the threat of terrorism with more than five incidents of terror taking place in the country.
Dozens of Tanzanians have been sent to Somalia to train with militant Al-Shabaab terror group.
