15 pro-Islamic State militants were killed when Philippine troops launched an air and ground aasaults against a rebel bomb factory on Sunday.
The artillery and airstrikes powdered an area in Liguasan marsh in Maguindanao where the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) has been manufacturing their improvised explosive.
Fifteen of the militants were confirmed dead, ten were injured and two others were captured.
The assault was of big impact to the militants as it destroyed their main IED factory in southern Liguasan.
The BIFF has about 300 to 400 members and is classified as a terrorist organization by the Phillipine government.
