Tuesday 8th September 0600HRS a joint effort of the AMISOM and Federal Government of Somalia forces repulsed an attempted attack on a police station in Qoryoley, Lower Shabelle in Somalia by the Al Shabaab militants.
Consequently, 15 Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen fighters were killed, others retreated wounded with arms and ammunition commandeered from the militants while 4 FGS soldiers were injured.
The early morning incident was met with ample preparedness by the security forces that have vowed to rid Somalia off al Shabaab. FGS soldiers have increased their active participation in the fight against al Shabaab especially with recently concluded training making them tactically better equipped.
Keep it up, How is it that i hear that shabaab are capturing and taking control of Towns at Somali ?
That’s good ,but the retreat and taking over of towns by al shabaab is frightening, nuts must be tightened and these towns retaken .And that photo of civilians celebrating al shabaab recome is not good and must be pulled down and that town combed thoroughly unless the young boys I hv seen get groomed for death
