Iraqi jets have killed 12 Islamic State(IS) militants including prominent IS leaders.
On Thursday, Federal police with the backing of army jets, began operations to target the terrorists hideouts and managed to destroy six houses and killed four militants in al-Rashad town.
Another shelter belonging to IS was destroyed by Army jets leaving eight militants dead including a prominent leader of IS.
Federal Police Troops also managed to kill five prominent IS members who participated in the attack against a village in Southwest of Kirkuk on Tuesday.
Thousands of IS militants have been killed since the government campaign backed by paramilitary troops began was launched in October 2016 to fight the militant group which declared itself “Caliphate” in 2014
