Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen (HSM) movement has issued fresh threats that it will continue its insurgency to the new Somali government.
Al-Shabaab as popularly known has vowed to continue attacking the western-backed Federal government of Somalia as the new President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo set to take office this week in Mogadishu.
On Sunday 12/2/2017, Al-Shabaab paraded about 800 new fighters in southern bastion town of Jilib where the Al-Qaeda –linked terrorist group’s leaders repeated their commitment to wage on the war against the government and AMISOM.
The terror group commanders, speaking to hundreds of newly trained fighters and dozens of residents at a square in Jilib, said they will attack the new government’s installations.
The new president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo expected to be inaugurated this after winning election last week Wednesday 8/2/2017 gets into the office with one challenge of Al-Shabaab insurgency biting on his new administration.
What will be Farmajo's tactic and strategy to defeat and degrade the rag-tag militant that has killed thousands of Somali citizens and destibilized Somalia in a quest to dethrown the government and pose the Islamist strict version of Shari law.
