
Turkish military has said that its army has killed six fighters of the outlawed Workers Party (PKK) were killed on Friday.
During the clash in the latest violence related to the insurgency in the largely Kurdish controlled southeast Hakkari province, Turkey also lost a number of soldiers in the fight, military said in a statement.
In a separate incident two soldiers were killed in Hakkari when a military helicopter crashed due to technical fault, adding that six PKK militants were killed in the operation in the region.
Turkey has witnessed large scale attacks with the worst happening in the country’s capital Ankara.
The country has been clashing with militants (PKK and Daesh) in sweeps across the southeast and especially on the country’s border with Syria.
