South Sudanese rebels have captured the capital of oil rich Unity State Bentiu, Strategic Intelligence Reports.
The south Sudan rebels took the town from government troops early Tuesday after intense fighting.
Intelligence gathered by Strategic Intelligence confirms that all oil companies operating in Unity State have been ordered out by the rebels.
There is a ultimatum for all oil companies operating in Bentiu and the Unity State as a whole by these rebels.
South Sudan rebels issued a one week ultimatum to the oil producers to leave the state.
Rebels claim that they are liberating South Sudan from a anti-democratic regime in Juba.
The oil companies risk forced shutdown if they do not comply with this ultimatum, the rebels have reiterated.
The safety of oil workers is also at grave danger, Strategic Intelligence warns, rebels have made it clear that they will force closure of refineries and drilling sites and will shoot anyone resisting these orders.
Three Russian oil workers were injured in Bentiu during an attack by the rebels at a newly built oil refinery.
Upper Nile state remains as the only source of oil for export in South Sudan since the conflict started following a shutdown in Unity State.
