Somalia authorities have increased security checks to beef security in Mogadishu following the recent terror attacks which claimed at least 30 lives.
All these come in the wake of the attack at the education headquarters last week and the Tuesday attack on a busy restaurant, all of which the Somali based al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
According to police spokesman Qasim Ahmed Roble, the authorities are checking all public transport and private vehicles in order to improve security in Mogadishu and the rest of Somalia.
However, the checks have caused heavy traffic in the city and residents have also complained for the inconveniences.

The Africa Union backed force AMISOM in collaboration with the Somali National Army has made significant strides in pushing ‘al-Shabaab’ out of many towns in the country and killed several of its leaders.
