Kenya Media Bill: The Rebound of Excess Freedom and Lack of Patriotism.
Kenya has steadily grown to a near modern democracy.
Media freedom and human rights have been gaining footholds and becoming a social order.
Unfortunately Kenyas political divide and fourth estate are not loyal to the state rather to self interests.
By capitalizing on internal affairs scandals and issues that demonic the state management the fourth estate back-tracked on its commitment to distinctive journalism practice.
The state cannot succeed and unify its citizens when the media continues to demonize government and those who head it.
Negative profiling of government creates the negative public policy about the state of affairs.
This balkanizes the societies of a nation based on their political affiliation besides denies the nation the peoples confidence in their democratically elected leaders/government.
This outlook backfired on the face of the fourth estate with government seeking stringent measures to put checks on factors threatening national unity which is also a threat to national security.
