Kenya Oil flow per day has indicated improving prospects following the discovery of a 200 ,metres of oil flow from Kenya’s Ngamia-8 well in Lokichar Basin.
Oil industry in Kenya has received an appraisal through programs at the Lokichar Basin as one of the country’s newly discovered assets.
Africa oil which owns 50 per cent working interest in Kenya’s oil industry says Ngamia-8 well yields is a clear indication that more wells in the basin could produce more.
The firm further announced the Amosing-4 well in Likichar basin recently drilled has produced 27 metres or net oil per day.
Drillers of oil in the region are expected to go into further testing of several other wells to discover their flow per day.
Drilling of oil in Kenya could seem to be one of Kenya’s major focus and the government is working on protecting these resources.
By end of 2015, Africa oil has confirmed that an initial plan for production of oil in Kenya and a draft Field Development Plan will be underway.
This is an opportunity for investors, both local and abroad, say Kenyan government. Oil industry in Kenya is expected to fast take shape and be one of Kenya’s focus in stabilizing her economy.
