As Libyan government forces continue making gains against ISIL, France has warned that the militant group could flee and take refuge in Egypt and Tunisia.
ISIL fighters recently have experienced serious blows after being flushed from their former Libyan stronghold of Sirte.
According to French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, ISIL likely will flee to Egypt or Tunisia thus calling for an effective regional coordination to preempt new risks in these countries.
Tunisian counterpart Farhat Horchani (Defence Minister) also called for collaboration to effectively clear the region of ISIL.
Speaking at a defence conference in Paris, Horchani said it is a shame that there is no cooperation or strategy between the neighbouring state on countering the ISIL threat saying a large number of foreign fighters from Sirte or Syria already in his country.
