More than twenty (20) Taliban terror combatants were killed during the operations of the Afghan armed forces in northern Faryab and northeastern Takhar provinces, the Afghan Military confirmed Wednesday.
According to a statement released by 209th Shaheen Corps, Afghan armed forces and Taliban combatants clashed in Dawlatabad district of Faryab province.
At least 4 Taliban fighters were killed and 3 others were wounded during the clash.
A separate clash also broke out between the terror combatants and security forces at around 10:20pm in Arkalik Village of Qaisar district in Faryab which left 3 terror fighters killed and another one wounded. One Afghan soldier was wounded in this clash.
Also, security forces carried out artillery and airstrikes as part of Toofan-24 operations and clashes also took place in Khamdan Village of Dasht-e-Qala dsitrict of Takhar, leaving 10 Taliban fighters dead and 4 others wounded.
