Islamic State militants uploaded the video murdering 21 Ethiopian Christians over their faith. In the video, a masked fighter says all Christians must convert to Islam or pay a tax prescribed in the Quran.
Although the video has not yet been verified, killing of these Christians has spiked various condemnation as Egypt’s military continue with airstrikes in Libya.
ISIL controls major towns in Iraq and Syria. These extremists were recently driven out of Tikrit by Iraqi forces. Their loss in Tikrit was a big blow to the militia group who vowed to revenge in whichever way. The group further moved to Ramadi to occupy major towns and oil refinery.
