Willy Mutunga has been nominated for the post of Chief justice while Nancy Baraza has been nominated for the post of deputy chief justice.
Dr Willy Mutunga has a masters in degree in law and currently undertaking a PHD in law. However the nominee lacks experience in the judiciary.
Dr Mutunga has no prior experience in the judiciary. He was born in 16th June 1947. He studied law at University of Nairobi.
He also served as chairman for the Law Society of Kenya and is a senior counsel and has advises widely in matters of the law.
