Lined up for top positions in military and CIA directorship include CIA Director Leon Panetta, General David Patraeus, and Lt General John Allen. Another likely beneficiary of the shake is Ryan Crocker.
CIA Director Leon Panetta will be replacing Defense Secretary Robert Gates who will be retiring this year.
As such Leon Panetta will be the new Defense Secretary.
General David Patraeus will be CIA Director to take up after Leon Panetta who has served the Intelligence organization for two years.
The president will also appoint Lieutenant General John Allen as the top military official in Afghanistan and Ryan Crocker as the US ambassador to Kabul.
