The White House has confirmed that US President Barrack Obama will visit Kenya in July.
According to White House, President’s trip to Kenya will be his 4th to Sub-Saharan Africa – most of any sitting US president
Kenya reports that US President Barack Obama will be in Nairobi in July 2015.
State House Nairobi reports that U.S President Obama will attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Kenya in July.
There is a lot of excitement about this visit, but it worries security intelligence agencies.
Intelligence services in Kenya are worried the visit will encourage Somali terror group Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen to attempt to embarrass Kenya by carrying out terror attacks thus discredit the country besides discourage the visit.
The visit will be the first by the US President who traces his roots to the East African country.
However, the visit will have significant economic benefits. It will be an endorsement Kenya is a safe destination for tourists and investment.
