A drone strike killed Yusef Dheeq the leader of the militant group al-Shabab in southern Somalia on Saturday.
The militant leader was killed along 45 militants when their convoy was hit by the drone airstrike.
Yusef Dheeq, al-Shabab’s head of external operations, died in the attack near the town of Dinsoor.
Pentagon has not confirmed the battle damage assessment yet.
According to Open-Source Intelligence source, Yusef Dheeq was riding in a vehicle with fellow al-Shabab members when a precision airstrike targeting their convoy blitzed him and fellow militants.
