The Kenya Police Service of Kenya has launched a leadership training program for all senior police officers in the country.
The Strategic Leadership Command Programme (SLCP) for senior officers in the National Police Service (NPS) aims to train and educate senior officers on leadership roles, styles, and command structures.
The program will ensure officers are conversant with strategic leadership and command as required by professional ethics standards.
The program will be taken at Police facilities in Loresho in the capital.
The courses are based on a British curriculum though adapted and redeveloped for the Kenyan environment by NPS in partnership with Kenyatta University and the UK’s Bramshill College of Policing.
Officers will gain strategic policing skills training with a diploma and Masters degree in Leadership and Security Management.
The opening of the program was witnessed by acting police inspector General Samuel Arachi and British High Commissioner to Kenya Christian Turner.
