KTN Journalist Mohamed Ali and Al-Jazeera correspondent in Kenya will be investigated by Kenyan authorities for airing a controversial film which demonized Kenya anti terrorism operations.
Kenya Police have also confirmed that the alleged police and intelligence officers interviewed are not genuine government security officers rather impersonators with some little knowledge on security matters.
Journalist Mohamed Ali who airs investigative series on the Kenya Television Network has been on the spotlight for his biased reporting.
Government officers have worried Mohamed Ali is helping Al-Shabaab send their messages to Muslim youths in the country.
The terrorists are using the journalist as a mouthpiece besides using him as their recruitment drive ambassador.
On the Al-Jazeera film, most of the works were his. He helped the Al-Jazeera men access areas they could film a very sensitive government intelligence building in town. Ali, also helped source information about Al-Shabaab clerics who were killed in mysterious circumstances.
The Interior ministry has questioned the motive of the film citing the time it was aired and the demonizing of the anti-terrorism efforts when the country is at a very sensitive stage on the war on terror.
