The five suspected kidnappers arrested in Tucson have been identified as Brandon Vega, 19; Jose Pedro Molina-Durgin, 36; Cruz Carrillo, 19; and Jose Angel Reyes-Palomino, 28. They were arrested and face charges of kidnapping, extortion and armed robbery.
The kidnapers blindfolded, badly beaten and tied the hands of a 16-year old boy before asking for a ransom from his family, police confirm.
Police have so far arrested the kidnappers.
One of the suspects is being held for a different charge of being in possession of drugs.
The 5th suspect has been named as Juan Carlos Martinez-Borajas, a 51 year old male who police are not sure he was part of the criminal gang.
