Ethiopian troops under AMISOM have attacked and liberated the town of Tiyeglow in Somalia’s south-western Bakol region.
Backed by Somali government troops, AMISOM troops forced terror militants out of their last bastion in the Bakol region allowing Somali government control of the entire Bakol region.
Operation Indian Ocean was launched by AMISOM to flush out the terror group from their strongholds along the Indian Ocean.
Militants fled and did not pose any resistance to the advance but planted mines and improvised explosive devices to slow the AMISOM contingent.
