Secong grader at Talbott Elementary in Widefield, Kody Smith said that when he was instructed to draw what he saw, he looked up at the clouds and saw a handgun and drew it.
This has prompted the Colorado second grader to be disciplined after drawing a picture of a handgun during an assignment.
A teacher asked the students to look up to the clouds and draw what they saw, and Kody Smith was doing exactly what he was told to do for the assignment,’ Angel Rivers, the boy’s mom
Kody Smith, 8, went outside May 14, looked up to the sky and saw a big fluffy handgun and drew it.
He showed his teacher at Talbott Elementary in Widefield, southeast of Colorado Springs, but was reprimanded.
The school has filed a disruptive behavior report on the boy.
