Uganda has deployed security and intelligence service officers to secure and conduct surveillance on all targets threatened by terrorists in the country.
Uganda has taken very good measures to preempt the threat on the county’s national security.
Their approach is proactive not reactive like their Kenyan counterparts.
Kampala has identified and classified all the possible terror targets and has since then deployed security agents to secure these targets.
Such a measure goes a long way to ensure the terrorists run short of options and end up giving up on their mission, David James Director of SI. intelligence analysis points out.
The police have also warned that they will close all public places they deem lacking adequate security.
This is not only clever, but very professional, it completely thwarts the threat on that particular target.
Though the threat may be directed to another target the core objective at the moment is to preempt as many threats as possible and Uganda has done just fine.
