Three soldiers from the South African National Defense Forces SANDF were wounded in Democratic Republic of Congo, intelligence officials report.
The soldiers serving the UN Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO) were attacked by rebels on Wednesday.
Rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) attacked a UN forward operations base in the eastern DRC.
The base is manned by the SANDF who staged a counter attack.
One of the South African soldiers was in a critical condition in a hospital in Goma, SANDF spokesperson Jaco Theunissen. reported.
