Somali National Army troops killed thirty terrorists serving as bodyguards to a senior Al-Shabaab commander in the Kulan-jareer in Bakol region on Monday.
The army also killed 5 militants after intelligence reports that a senior leader of the Al-Shabaab would be in the region.
SNA laid an ambush and killed all 5 militants, a Somali army official confirmed.
The Somali National Army was targeting al-Shabaab official Abdullahi Dhere, the representative of the Bay area, Intelligence reports show he was in the area.
The killing of these militants is a blow to their leadership and a gain in the war on terror.
