Rwandan and Mozambican troops deployed to fight ISCAP terrorists in Cabo Delgado continue to make headway against the group. The forces announced the capture of key hideouts in Nhica do Ruvuma and Pundahar in Palma district.
According to military sources; at least 17 civilians were rescued from insurgents the majority being women and children. Two terrorists were captured and two others armed with light weapons were killed in the ambush. Additionally, after the operations, the terrorist scattered and are believed to have fled into Muidumbe district where they are projected to be intercepted by SAMIM.
In recent weeks the allied forces in Mozambique continue to make advances against the terror organization and have received boosts that will mean even more pressure against a group that is now grappling for survival. Intelligence has indicated that while they are being defeated they still have gumption that has led to resurgence in areas previously recaptured.
